nickel plating production line

nickel plating production line

A nickel plating production line is a specialized surface treatment system that deposits a uniform nickel coating on workpieces through electrolytic technology. Leveraging nickel’s excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and bright metallic luster, the system provides both protective and decorative functions. It is widely used in the hardware, electronics, automotive, and aerospace industries, making it ideal for products such as faucets, electronic connectors, molds, and aircraft components.

product details

Core Structure:

The nickel plating production line is composed of five main systems:
Pre-treatment System – The foundation of the process, ensuring a clean and active surface for strong nickel adhesion through three key steps:
Degreasing to remove oils and contaminants,Pickling to eliminate oxide scale and rust, and Activation to enhance surface reactivity.
Electrolytic System – The core component of the line, consisting of:
Acid-resistant plating tanks made of PP or PVDF, filled with a nickel sulfate-based electrolyte,Electrodes, including insoluble titanium mesh anodes or soluble nickel anodes paired with customized cathode fixtures,Adjustable DC Power Supply with 0–15V output, where current is regulated according to workpiece specifications.
Post-treatment System – Improves coating quality through:
Rinsing to remove residual electrolyte,Optional passivation to further enhance corrosion resistance, and Low-temperature drying to prevent oxidation.
Conveying System – Uses automated racks or rotating barrels to achieve efficient, continuous transfer of workpieces between each processing stage.
Control System – Operated via a PLC and touchscreen interface, enabling real-time monitoring of electrolyte temperature (40–60°C), pH level (±0.2), and coating thickness (precision ±1 μm) to ensure stable, consistent production.

Key Advantages:
The nickel layer offers excellent corrosion and wear resistance, significantly extending the service life of workpieces. It features a high surface gloss for decorative appeal, and its thickness (5–100 μm) can be precisely controlled to meet various technical requirements. With a high degree of automation, a single production line can process several thousand parts per day, making it an essential surface treatment solution in modern manufacturing.
